In the second installment of our Heat Wave playlist series, we take you far out in the desert, to a radio outpost. It’s been years since its heyday. People say it used to provide wandering travelers with weather forecasts and alerts, but now it just plays the hits, barely loud enough for old souls to hear it. Some tracks make you feel young again, others remind you of how much you’ve endured. Some say you can even ride the wave for a bit, hoping it’ll spit you out somewhere better than you found it.
